FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BIOMERICS MOVES FORWARD WITH HEADQUARTERS RELOCATION TO NEW BUILDING IN SALT LAKE CITY.

SALT LAKE CITY, UT (October 4, 2018) – Biomerics, a leading supplier to the medical device industry, is pleased to announce that they have commenced their relocation strategy to a new headquarters building in the Salt Lake City International Center, just West of the Salt Lake City Airport. The new facility will include corporate offices, engineering offices, research and development labs, cleanroom manufacturing, and added employee amenities.

Biomerics received access to the new building on Sept. 24, 2018, after an 18 month construction schedule was completed by Layton Construction. The newly refurbished 167,000 sq. ft. location was designed by Beecher Walker Architects and includes new staff facilities, fitness room, game room, labs, conference space and additional business amenities. In addition, the newly renovated space includes a welcoming and engaging Lobby, new meeting room space with high-end technology, AV features, artwork, and product displays.

Craig McCaffrey, President of Biomerics Salt Lake, is overseeing the move of offices, equipment, and operations to the new building. “Moving our facilities is a massive undertaking, but with detailed planning and working with great vendors the process of moving has been efficient. This new facility is a wonderful space for all employees and provides ample amenities to improve employee relations, and an excellent work environment to continue to build and strengthen the Biomerics brand”. The move is expected to be completed near the end of October.

On October 25, 2018, Biomerics will open its doors of the new facility to customers, clients, media outlets and the general public during our Open House and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony (event starts at 2:00 pm and the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 2:30 pm). Special guest speakers include: Dell Loy Hansen, CEO of the Wasatch Group, a strong partner of Biomerics, and we are also privileged to have Val Hale, Executive Director of Utah’s Governor of Economic Development (GOED) to share a few words. Val is another valuable partner in helping to secure resources for this project. We are also privileged to have Congresswoman Mia Love, of Utah’s 4th District share a few words. Mia has been an advocate for the Medical Device sector in supporting initiatives to reform tax laws for the Medical Device community.

Travis Sessions, CEO of Biomerics, said, “This new facility enables Biomerics to take its business to the next level, and be a leader in the medical device manufacturing space. This new facility will enable us to combine the individual talents of Engineers, Operators and Technicians and all of our administrative team to create a company that serves the Life Sciences industry both nationally and internationally. We’re excited to be able to share this new facility with the community and provide an inside look into our operations, programs, and services.”
