BIOMERICS OFFICIALLY OPENS NEW HEADQUARTERS
FACILITY IN SALT LAKE CITY
SALT LAKE CITY, UT (October 26, 2018) – Biomerics, a leading supplier to the medical device industry, recently announced they have officially opened their brand new, 167,000 sq. ft. headquarters building in the Salt Lake City International Center, just West of the Salt Lake City Airport. The announcement was facilitated by an official Open House last week (October 25, 2018) with a VIP Reception and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.
Biomerics welcomed more than 400 guests to its brand new facility including Customers, Vendors/Suppliers, and industry professionals from Salt Lake and surrounding areas. The Open House celebrated the completion of a nearly 24 month long project including concept designs, demolition, and construction of the new facility.
The VIP Reception welcomed special guests and political dignitaries including Dell Loy Hansen, CEO of the Wasatch Group, Kelvyn Cullimore, President of BioUtah, Val Hale, Executive Director of the Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED), Congresswomen Mia Love, and Congressman Chris Stewart. Each guest shared comments and congratulatory remarks to Biomerics for creating such a unique space and continuing to build strength in the medical device and biotech industry within the state of Utah. All guests were treated to an exclusive tour of the brand new facility and got an in-depth review of the company’s core capabilities, new state-of the-art labs, engineering offices, cleanroom areas and additional employee amenities. Family and friends of Biomerics employees were also welcomed to the Open House to help celebrate the opening of the new building.
The afternoon’s activities also included an address by the CEO of Biomerics, Travis Sessions, who shared remarks about the significance of the new headquarters building and what it represents for the company. In his address, Travis shared, “The new headquarters signifies the exponential growth and strength that Biomerics has been experiencing recently. We are grateful for all those that participated in our Open House, and we look forward to building strong relationships and partnerships with many of our guests moving forward.”
Following the addresses, the official Ribbon Cutting was done by Craig McCaffrey and other invited guests who joined Craig to cut the official red ribbon. Craig McCaffrey, President of the Biomerics, Salt Lake City Division said, “It was an honor for us to welcome so many people to our facility. Many people marveled at the expanse of the new space, the design, equipment and current offerings of the company. We were privileged to have shared this new space with everyone and see their enthusiasm for us.”
