BROOKLYN PARK, MN (April 15, 2019) — Biomerics LLC, a leading contract manufacturer in the minimally invasive interventional medical device market, announced the completion of an expansion at the Advanced Catheter facility located in Brooklyn Park, MN. The facility expansion added 10,000 square feet of engineering, office, and production space. It is expected to add 30 engineering and manufacturing positions to the location and increases the total size of the facility to 72,000 square feet.
“Biomerics Advanced Catheter has experienced significant growth,” stated Travis Sessions, Biomerics CEO, “This expansion is part of our ongoing investment and commitment to supporting our team and customers.” The Advanced Catheter facility is a vertically integrated design, development, and manufacturing platform for advanced interventional catheters. Operations at the facility include extrusion, molding, braiding, laser processing, catheter assembly processes, tipping, printing, coating, and finish packaging.
Steve Berhow, President of the location, remarked “We’ve experienced many months of increased business growth, and we are honored to enhance our services in catheter assembly, extrusion, and laser processing. Biomerics Advanced Catheter has been at the epicenter of catheter and medical device development in the state of Minnesota for over 15 years, and we look forwarding to continuing our growth in the community”. Mike Whitehead, VP Engineering, Laser Processing, added, “The expansion increases our laser process capabilities and will add micro laser cutting and secondary processing to help us better serve the interventional catheter and surgical markets”.
