SALT LAKE CITY December 2, 2019/PRNewswire/ – Biomerics, LLC, a leading contract manufacturer for the interventional medical device market, and ATL Technology LLC have mutually agreed to dissolve their joint venture, Biomerics ATL LLC. Biomerics has purchased ATL Technology’s interests in the joint venture and will rename the business unit Biomerics CRI (BCRI) and invest in expanding its footprint and capabilities. With the addition of Biomerics CRI, Biomerics will now operate seven business units with over 1300 employees.
Preparing a medical device for its intended market from the initial concept phase through to the final launch and commercial release can be very timely and depends on many factors. In the plastic injection molding industry, a hot runner system is commonly used to reduce production cost and improving product quality. There are many advantages of using a hot runner system; for example, saving resin materials, shortening cycle time, reducing stress and saving energy. Based on the design of nozzles, there are two types of hot runner systems: open gate system and valve gate system. An open gate system is where melted plastic is injected into the mold cavity directly, leaving some tiny marks on the molded part.

This new e-Commerce platform will sell a range of off-the-shelf Nylon, PET, and LDPE medical balloons. The fast-turn store enables engineers to develop and prototype next-generation catheters quickly.
